In these IN PERSON Heal Your Nervous System workshops with community Acupuncture. Jessica Knox will lead you through gentle yoga, EFT tapping, breathwork, self massage and acupressure; while incorporating essential oils and guided meditation; all with a focus on techniques that stimulate the vagus nerve (polyvagal theory), increase Vagal tone and the parasympathetic nervous system to regulate our Nervous System and destress.

These are designed to do repeatedly as a restorative experience to balance your nervous system as needed.

The final portion of this workshop includes Gentle Acupuncture and ear seeds for relaxation and resetting the Nervous System by Registered Acupuncturist Sabine. We can direct bill for you.

This workshop is $65

This IN PERSON workshop is for 12 participants and is held at the Helga Beer’s Studio 202-1600 Bay Street.

In these Online Heal Your Face workshops and classes, we’ll explore the joy of creating a self-care ritual. These techniques really work and you will notice a visible difference after each offering.

I'll teach you how to give yourself a face massage incorporating face oil, acupressure, lymph drainage, facial cupping, jade rolling and guasha.

We will incorporate Face Yoga techniques to tone and define your face while decreasing tension in your face, jaw, neck and shoulders.

I'll show you how to decrease puffiness, increase circulation and improve the quality of the skin and muscles of your face.

We will do some neck and shoulder releases, acupressure, heart opening poses and guided meditation to finish.

These classes and workshops have the added benefit of being deeply relaxing as they stimulate and increase vagal tone helping to balance and reset the nervous system.

Every class and workshop is a little bit different with new techniques. Clients love to participate again and again.

You will receive a video link you can access for 4 weeks following the workshop.

This online workshop is 75 minutes $30+gst

The online class series is 4 weeks, 30 minute classes series $60+gst

Each week we will explore new techniques and different muscles of the face and learn about the benefits of different face care products and tools, while reviewing the basic principles of the acufacial. At the end of the 4 weeks you’ll be able to tailor a home care face routine perfect for you. There will time for questions and personalized guidance before and after each class.

5 ELEMENT ACUYOGA WORKSHOPS

These small IN PERSON Workshops for 4 people are designed to give you tools to balance your body with seasons.

In These Acuyoga workshops, lead by Jessica Knox, we will work with the element of the season physically by stretching, tapping, massaging and applying acupressure along the associated meridians. Guided breathwork, aromatherapy and meditation will be used to explore the theme of the season emotionally and spiritually.

The final portion of this workshop includes Gentle Acupuncture and ear seeds for relaxation and to balance your body with the season by Registered Acupuncturist Sabine. We can direct bill for you.

We are not separate from Nature, we are Nature.

This will be an incredibly healing and balancing experience to optimize your health, wellbeing and immunity with the season.

THERAPEUTIC YOGA IN PERSON CLASSES

These small classes are held at A Balanced Body's studio.

A supportive setting focusing on Yoga, Pilates and self massage techniques as we work through the body for balance; with hands on support, stretching and adjustments.

In person classes are 60 minutes, limited to 4 participants and are very hands on and tailored to participants.

These classes are $120 for a series of 4.

Sometimes $40 drop in spots are available.

HEAL YOUR BODY IN PERSON and ONLINE WORKSHOPS:

Each workshop will have a different focus. These are excellent rehab classes where I will teach you to assess, balance and release this area of the body yourself. Although we focus on one area of the body, we’ll also explore the interconnectedness of this part with our whole body, so no matter what’s going on, you will feel amazing in your whole body afterwards. You also don’t have to be experiencing dysfunction in these parts to enjoy exploring and improving specific joint and muscle function.

These workshops are held on evenings and/or weekends.

These classes are designed for ALL LEVELS and are beneficial for ALL BODIES.

Each workshop includes 2 week access of the workshop and then an additional 2 week access to the on demand library.

HEAL YOUR HIPS & PELVIS

We will strengthen, release and stabilize the pelvis and sacrum, including the pelvic floor; which can also help with discomfort and incontinence.

In the class we will balance the pelvis as we increase mobility, flexibility and strength in the hips.

This class is helpful for loosening and decreasing pain and tension in the thighs, glutes and hip joints.

This class is helpful for treating pelvic imbalances like: SI joint, low back pain or dysfunction. As well as, loosening and decreasing pain and tension in the thighs, glutes and hip joints.

HEAL YOUR FEET, ANKLES, CALVES and KNEES

The feet are our foundation, when our feet and ankles are off so is the rest of the body. We will explore our gait, foot control, strength, mobility. As well as, the posterior fascial chain that starts at the feet and runs up the back to the forehead. We will experience how are feet root us to the earth and are connected to our entire body.

In this class we will explore the knee joints and associated muscles; as well as the influence the ankles, feet and hips can play on the knees. We will traction, align, release and balance through combined strength and mobility with massage, yoga and therapeutic exercises.

This class is helpful for knee, shin and calf rehab, aches, stiffness and pain. As well as, ankle sprain recovery, achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, foot and ankle pain, tightness and weakness.

HEAL YOUR LOW BACK and SACRUM

We will build on our pelvic balancing techniques but will address the lumbar spine and sacrum in more detail.

I will teach you how to increase mobility, strength, and create traction for intervertebral disc health and release your low back and sacrum yourself.

This workshop will include proper core engagement and strengthening of the core and glutes to create stability for the low back and sacrum. Along with self massage and stretching.

This approach is helpful for low back and SI pain, stiffness and weakness, sciatica and pelvic imbalance.

HEAL YOUR MID BACK & RIBS

In this class we will explore the are of the mid back including the thoracic spine, ribs and diaphragm. This class is helpful for increasing our capacity to breathe and open our hearts.

We will decrease mid, upper back, chest and rib pain and tension; while, improving our posture and spinal mobility.

HEAL YOUR NECK & SHOULDERS

In this class we will explore, balance and release the shoulder girdle.

This class will help with shoulder, scapular, chest, upper back and neck, jaw, face pain or dysfunction. We will also address headache relief and eye strain.

HEAL YOUR HANDS, WRISTS and ELBOWS

In this class we will address the hands, wrists and elbows; along with their connection to our shoulder girdle and our hearts. As an RMT, I have found specific strengthening and range of motion exercises to be the most helpful in healing and balancing these joints. I will share my approach with you.

This can help with tendonitis, carpal tunnel, arthritis, pain, discomfort and weakness in the hands, wrists and elbows.
