ONLINE THERAPEUTIC YOGA & PILATES

These online courses BLEND ELEMENTS OF YOGA, PILATES, MASSAGE & MINDFUL RELAXATION TO ADDRESS IMBALANCES IN YOUR MYO-FASCIAL-SKELETAL SYSTEMS THROUGH TRACTION, ENGAGEMENT AND RELEASE. We do this through Strength, stretching, release and Relaxation.

WE sometimes utilize PROPS, SOME FROM TRADITIONAL YOGA, SOME FROM MASSAGE AND PILATES, AND SOME THAT WE’VE ADAPTED SPECIFICALLY TO OFFER YOU RELIEF, STABILITY AND STRENGTH from the comfort of your own home.

Typically in Yoga and pilates classes there are 3 levels: Beginner, intermediate and advanced. These are not my levels. I start at the very beginning and each class progresses on the previous one, in a slow, gentle manner. The courses can be seen as a step by step journey, Consistency being the key. these courses are about the Journey rather than the destination. There’s no rush and you can progress at your own rate. Options are always given to make each move easier or harder, safety is paramount and the focus is always therapeutic.

I so often see people skipping the basics and resisting building the foundation they need for healthy, functional movement. This leads to frustration, faulty movement patterns, physical compensation, set backs and increased discomfort.

I hope you will join me and we can travel together to build a foundation of true support and awareness, so you can live the life you want and be at ease in your body.

Online STRENGTH and STRETCH with weights

Upper Body Course Level 1

4 weeks Tuesday 12-12:30pm

March 11-April 1

(Level 2 will be Thurdsays 12-12:30 April 10-May 1)

$40 for course, or $12 drop in

In this 4 week Pilates and Yoga course we will focus on the upper body and core. We will learn how to safely incorporate weights in to our Pilates practice. In this level 1 course we will begin with light weights 1-3 lbs to gain strength in our arms. We will also increase our upper body mobility and flexibility through Yoga.

Resistance training increases muscle strength by making your muscles work against a weight or force. This course is a safe way to start. In each class we will slowly progress. We will use weights, bands and our body weight to focus on the muscles of our upper body.

You will need light weights 1-3 lbs, flexband and mini stability ball (see props page for substitute) for this course.

$40 for the series or $12 drop in class

Each class includes a live ZOOM class and the HD video recording of that class will go into the On Demand Library a month or so later.

Online STRENGTH and STRETCH with weights

Lower Body Course Level 1

4 weeks Thursdays 12-12:30pm

March 13-April 3

(Level 2 will be on Tuesdays 12-12:30 April 8-29)

$40 for course, or $12 drop in

In this 4 week Pilates and Yoga course we will focus on the lower body and core. We will learn how to playfully and safely incorporate weights in to our Pilates practice.

In this level 1 course we will begin with light weights 3-5 lbs to gain strength in our lower body. We will also increase our lower body mobility and flexibility through Yoga.

This course is a safe way to start.

In each class we will slowly progress. We will use weights, bands and our body weight to focus on the muscles of our lower body.

You will need light weights 3-5 lbs, flexband and 2 blocks (see props page for substitute) for this course.

GLUTE COURSE - LEVEL 3

A Glute Course to build glute strength and learn to properly recruit and engage the Gluteal Muscles in your butt!

A safe class for all levels, but progressing on level 1.

A weekly 30 minute class for 4 weeks.

Pilates, Yoga and therapeutic exercises for our glutes: Gluteus Maximus and Gluteus Medius. We will also include our core abdominals: pelvic floor and transverse abdominis.

Having strong glutes and core is an essential base for stability, strength and mobility in your hips to help keep your low back safe. We will learn to properly recruit, engage and strengthen your glutes.

This approach will help with low back and hip pain, it will also help decrease hamstring tightness in the back of the legs and we will increase mobility and flexibility in the hips.

You will need a flexband and 2 blocks (see props page for substitute) and yoga or pilates mat for this course.

THE CORE COURSE - LEVEL 3

A Core Course to build a foundation of core strength. A safe class for all levels, progressing on level 1.

A weekly 30 minute class for 4 weeks.

Pilates, Yoga and therapeutic exercises for our core: pelvic floor and transverse abdominis. We will also include abdominal, glutes and back muscles.

Having a strong core is an essential base for stability and strength. We will start with the basics. This approach will help with low back, hip and pelvic floor pain, weakness and dysfunction.

You will need a mini stability ball (see props page for substitute) and yoga or pilates mat for this course.
